Mi Última Cena...... en Ecuador.... este vez : )

Well we are down to about an hour before I leave for the airport and things couldn't seem more normal. Yes my room looks a bit empty but we have music turned up, made some ceviche which we will eat here before too long, and well it has just been a fun layed back morning. I wanted to post a few pictures before I headed out as I am not sure when I will next get to update. Last night the youth from my church had a going away party/dinner for me. This included food (obviously) as well as everyone taking a moment to say a few words to me, wishing me the best and God's blessing, and reminding me how much I am loved and how I will always have a family here who is praying for me and waiting for me to return once more. There also was some singing and a prayer of blessing. They also took an Ecuadorian flag which they all wrote notes on... which I am not allowed to read until I am on the plane. We also took many fotos!

How time flies!

Where has the time gone? How is it that I will need to say my final goodbyes in a mere 39 hours? How do I describe what it is like to go places, be with people and realize it may be your last time in that place or with those people? Just a few months ago I was just arriving, nervous about who I would be living with, who would be in my group, and if I would be able to find a good church family. Looking back I wonder why I ever bother worrying... God is pretty good at taking care of me. Yesterday at church the pastor had me come to the front of the church as everyone said a prayer of blessing over me. At my church here everyone prays out loud at the same time... how humbling it was to hear the voices of many praying for ME! I leave Wednesday early evening to head for Peru where I will reunite with Dano and Tara and do a bit of traveling before arriving in Dulles January 22. As much as I will miss my dear friends here in Ecuador, I equally find myself eagerly anticipating seeing my friends and family in the States as well, however for now I hope to fully enjoy the present!
